The State Environmental Superintendency (Semace) released 50 wild animals, this Wednesday (8), in partnership with the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama), in the Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza. The animals are of 13 different species, the location chosen for the action was in the metropolitan region of Fortaleza.

The animals were rescued or seized by environmental agencies and handed over to the care of the Wild Animal Screening and Rehabilitation Center (Cetas), which kept the animals until the day of release. The list of released animals were:
1 – iguana (Iguana iguana)
2 – barn owl (Tyto alba)
3 – bluebird (Cyanocompsa brissonii)
1 – chopim (Molothrus bonariensis)
2 – golinho (Sporophila albogularis)
4 – grasshopper (Sporophila nigricolis)
2 – white-billed iraúna (Cacicus solitarius)
9 – garibaldi (Chrysomus ruficapillus)
9 – Cock of the Field (Dominican Paroaria)
3 – caboclinho (Sporophila bouvreuil)
10 – true canary (Sicalis flaveola)
3 – little mustache (Sporophila lineola)
