Man arrested after killing businessman due to jealousy of ex-partner on the South Coast of AL

A 36-year-old man was arrested this Wednesday morning (08), accused of killing a businessman, in the municipality of Coruripe, South Coast of Alagoas. According to the police, the criminal action was motivated by jealousy due to the victim’s romantic involvement with the suspect’s ex-partner.

The arrest was carried out by civil police officers, under the command of delegate Liana Franca.

The businessman, responsible for setting up a cleaning products factory in the city of Marechal Deodoro, began a relationship with the suspect’s ex-wife. The relationship generated several disagreements between the two, which culminated in the crime.

The police began investigating the crime on September 7th this year. The suspect has already undergone a custody hearing and was remanded in custody. Now he will be sent to the prison system of the state of Alagoas.
