Counselor Susana Azevedo was unanimously elected president of the Court of Auditors of the State of Sergipe (TCE/SE) for the 2024/2025 biennium. The election took place this Thursday (9), during a full session, in Aracaju.
The current president, advisor Flávio Conceição, was elected vice-president; Councilor Luis Alberto Meneses will occupy the position of inspector general.
The inauguration of the new board of directors is scheduled for 4pm on December 11th, in the TCE auditorium. The exercise of the mandate will begin in January 2024.
Susana Maria Fontes Azevedo Freitas, born in Aracaju, is a lawyer, with a postgraduate degree in Public Law. She was a councilor of Aracaju for two legislatures (1989/1992 and 1993/1994), state deputy for five legislatures (1995/1998, 1999/2002, 2003/2006, 2007/2010 and 2011 / 25.02.2014).
She served as chief secretary of the state Civil House (1989/1991), and as secretary of Aracaju (1998/1999).
She assumed the position of Advisor to the Court of Auditors of the State of Sergipe on February 25, 2014. In the 2016-2017 and 2020-2021 biennia, she was vice-president of the Court of Auditors. The counselor is also a member of the Technical Education Committee of the Rui Barbosa Institute (CTE-IRB) and is a member of the Fiscal Council of the Association of Members of the Audit Courts of Brazil (Atricon).
