The Porto Alegre Book Fair will bring a little of the experience of the biggest comics and pop culture event in Rio Grande do Sul to its 69th edition with the ComicCon RS Stage. The program of activities aimed at the geek and nerd audience takes place this Saturday, November 11th, from 10am to 8pm, at Espaço Jovem Banrisul Vero, with free entry.
Among the chats, topics such as Superman’s 85th birthday, the dubbing market in the state, the multiverse fever in pop culture and true crime productions inspired by real cases.
In the panel “What History is This?” You can check out comic book authors sharing behind the scenes and inspirations for their works, an interview with internet comic strip phenomenon Rafael Fritzen and the workshop Creating Heroes and Universes, in which the public will learn how to make a comic.
To the delight of fans, the Cosplay Parade and K-Pop Show will be promoted. The children’s cosplay parade offers medals to all participants and the adult parade features prizes for the winner. The K-Pop Show’s dance performances are free and out of competition. Free registrations can be made on the Comic website.
The ComicCon RS Stage takes a sample of its event, held 10 years ago in Canoas, to the Book Fair. The next edition of ComicCon RS 2024 will be held on June 1st and 2nd at La Salle Canoas University.
