Rio City Hall published, this Thursday (9), a public call for the construction of 1,016 Minha Casa, Minha Vida (MCMV) units in the city. The units will be located in Mangueira, Del Castilho and Itanhangá. The initiative is aimed at families with income of up to R$2,640 per month.

The new buildings will be located on five City Hall sites, selected according to their insertion into the urban fabric, with proximity to public facilities and services for the population. There will be 568 units in Mangueira, 48 in Del Castilho and 400 in Itanhangá.
The last notice of the MCMV program, which resulted in the Mandela de Pedra housing complex, in Manguinhos, was published 10 years ago. The public call aims to select companies in the construction sector to build housing projects. Interested companies will present their proposals to an Analysis and Selection Committee, made up of technicians from the Housing Production Promotion Coordination and other employees of the Municipal Housing Department, including architects, engineers and lawyers. According to the city hall, the Commission follows the guidelines of the MCMV program and will choose the best ones, based on technical criteria.
