A fire broke out in the building of the Integrated Center for Teaching and Research in Public Security (Cieps), in the early hours of this Thursday (9), in Rio Branco. The Fire Department was called to control the flames. Nobody was injured.
In a note, the State Secretariat for Justice and Public Security (Sejusp) reported that around 50% of the location where the administration of the training spaces for the Institutes of Penitentiary Administration (Iapen) and Socio-educational (ISE) and the Fire Department operated was consumed by fire.
In addition, a large part of the former weight training gym building was hit by flames. The weapons reserve room, the security operators’ accommodation and the administration of the Civil and Military police training spaces were preserved.
Also according to Safety, a technical examination must be carried out by the competent bodies to identify the causes of the fire.
