Sebrae Tocantins will launch the Rota do Chambari de Paraíso do Tocantins on November 13th. The event, which is in partnership with the Municipality of Paraíso, aims to publicize the gastronomic potential that can be created from one of the most famous delicacies in Tocantins.

The action includes 14 establishments that will present various dishes made from chambari, such as: tamale, risotto, sandwich, couscous, broth and dumplings, in addition to the traditional dish, served with rice and mashed potatoes.

Walbênia Lemos, Sebrae analyst and Tourism coordinator, highlights that the Rota do Chambari is a way to strengthen and promote the typical cuisine of Tocantins, in addition to expanding the strategies of small businesses in the State. “Paraíso is the Capital of Chambari and from the route tourists will have knowledge and access to the places that offer the delicacy, but in addition, we want the menu to be sold with proposal, stories, love and affection”, she adds.

The manager of Sebrae in Paraíso do Tocantins, Renata Moura points out that the Chambari Gastronomic Route will enter the State’s gastronomic catalog. According to the manager, the action, in addition to awakening sensations that sharpen the palate and satisfy hunger, is also a way for people to experience the history of Paraíso do Tocantins, which is 60 years old.

“Food is a field where we access memories and affections of moments that made us happy in the past. It is with this perspective that Sebrae Tocantins wishes to take chambari to the world”, he concludes.
