Police recover 25 stolen vehicles in Amazonas; valued at R$1.5 million


Manaus/AM – During operations launched in October this year, the Police Station Specialized in Robbery and Vehicle Theft (DERFV) seized 25 vehicles resulting from robberies and thefts in Manaus and the interior of Amazonas. The recovered material is valued at R$1.5 million.

According to delegate Rodrigo Barreto, head of DERFV, 12 cars, 12 motorcycles and a truck were seized. The actions are part of the constant investigations carried out by the specialized police unit team.

“All of this is the result of the intense investigative work carried out by DERFV, which throughout the month of October managed to recover 25 vehicles resulting from robberies and thefts. The operations carried out also resulted in two arrests in the act and three in compliance with court warrants, which totaled six people arrested”, explained Barreto.

According to the police authority, the owners of the vehicles will be contacted to collect their property from the police station.
