A 30-year-old man had one of his arms crushed and torn apart by a printer roller at a poster printing shop in Ceilândia, this Wednesday afternoon (8/11). The case occurred at around 4:55 pm, when military firefighters were called to the Economic Development Area (ADE), to respond to the incident.
The victim, identified only by the initials WS B, had his right arm trapped in the printer when rescuers arrived at the scene.
The large equipment, a German model, was used for printing posters. The victim was stabilized and, subsequently, the machine was dismantled, with the support of a specialized technician. {{#values}}{{/values}}
With the use of appropriate tools, including an extricer – a tool for removing victims from hardware – it was possible to dismantle the printer, freeing up space to remove the victim’s arm.
The man had to be transported by Air Rescue to the Base Hospital, where he arrived conscious and oriented. The victim had a crushed and lacerated right arm.
The circumstances of the accident are still unknown.
