The Federal District Education Department (SEEDF) released the school calendar for 2024, with the main dates of the school year. Details have been available since Monday (6/11) on the folder’s official website.
The start of classes for the public education network will be on February 19th, with activities ending on December 19th. The calendar encompasses 200 mandatory school days.
Partner Educational Institutions (IEP), which include partner daycare centers, will follow the same schedule and begin activities on February 19, 2024. {{#values}}{{/values}}
The pedagogical week, aimed at educators, also has a defined date, according to the calendar. The stage will take place from the 7th to the 9th and from the 15th to the 16th of February. During this period, employees will meet to plan pedagogical strategies and goals for the school year.
Another highlight of the school calendar are mobile school days, which give schools flexibility in defining how to use them. These dates will be: March 28th, May 31st and July 8th to 10th. In the case of Partner Institutions and Early Childhood Education Centers (CEPIs), there will not be this option.
Semiannual activities
For students at Interscholastic Language Centers (CILs), classes for the first semester will begin on February 26th and continue until July 10th. The second ones are scheduled to take place from August 5th to December 20th.
The semester calendar is also valid for students in Youth and Adult Education (EJA), as well as Professional and Technological Education.
