O Bank of Brazil (BBAS3) announced a new payment of additional dividends and interest on equity (JCP) to its investors, in the total amount of R$2.249 billion, as announced this Wednesday (8).

You dividends from Banco do Brasil will total R$291.05 million, equivalent to R$0.101988 per share.

Already the JCP of Banco do Brasil will amount to R$1.958 billion, corresponding to R$0.68622 per share. The earnings are based on the third quarter of 2023 (3Q23).

The proceeds will be paid to investors positioned in the company’s shares until the close of the session on November 21, 2023. Shares acquired from the following trading session (22) will not be entitled to this receipt.

Dividends and JCP of Banco do Brasil will be equally distributed on November 30, 2023.

In the case of interest on equity, the amount is subject to income tax at source, in accordance with current legislation.

Investors who are exempt from this taxation will have to prove this condition by November 23, 2023 at one of BB’s branches.

How will the JCP and dividends from Banco do Brasil be paid?

The payment of earnings It will be made by deposit into a current account, gold savings account or by cash. Shareholders whose records are out of date will have their remuneration withheld until their records are properly regularized at one of the bank’s branches.

This registration regularization can be done by presenting an identity document, CPF number and proof of residence, if you are an individual. If you are a legal entity investor, you must present the statute or articles of incorporation and proof of representation.

Another important detail is that investors with shares of Banco do Brasil held in custody at the B3 Central Depository will first be paid to B3 itself, which, in turn, will pass the amount on to the holder shareholders, through the respective custody agents.

Furthermore, the Bank of Brazil also added that R$953.724 million has already been distributed in JCP on September 29, 2023, in the form of advance remuneration to shareholders.
