Services and vacancies were made available in 144 units spread across the State
The National Employment System (Sine) in Santa Catarina provided more than 317,695 services from January to October 2023. In addition, Sine/SC has already offered almost 199,613 thousand vacancies. Services and vacancies were made available in 144 units spread across the State.
The data was released by the Secretariat of Industry, Commerce and Services (Sicos), which coordinates the National Employment System. In total, 20 units are the direct responsibility of the State and others are in partnership with municipalities.
For the Secretary of Industry, Commerce and Services, Silvio Dreveck, these numbers demonstrate that the State is on the right path. “Our work in front of Sine directly impacts the quality of life of many families and also the economy of the regions. Our team, both at Sicos and Sines, works daily to be the bridge between those looking for an opportunity and the companies that offer vacancies”, he says.
The director of Employment and Income of the Secretariat of Industry, Commerce and Services (Sicos), Carlos Alberto Arns Filho, recalls that Sine’s work also contributed to the vacancies filled with a formal contract in 2023. “Between January and September 2023, 82,591 vacancies were created, fifth place in job creation in Brazil. In September alone, Santa Catarina generated 12 thousand vacancies, the best result in the south of Brazil. We are a national reference when it comes to employment”, he explains.
The employment and occupation policy manager at Sicos, Alexandre Souza, also adds that job creation in Santa Catarina is a priority. “The opportunity to have a formal job is the best of all social programs and we are intensifying our actions here at the Secretariat through Sines. Our work here is valuable, especially for those looking for new opportunities”, he concludes.
