A 17-year-old teenager died after suffering a sudden illness seconds after stealing a motorcycle in the Vila Medeiros neighborhood, in the North Zone of São Paulo, this Tuesday morning (7). The young man was using his grandfather’s own motorcycle to commit the crime when he fell ill and fell onto the asphalt, in the middle of the street.
The security camera of a house on Rua Antônio Palmieri recorded the moment when the motorcycle with two thieves approaches a motorcycle, occupied by a 66-year-old man. The teenager searches the victim and takes off his helmet, while the elderly man hands over the motorcycle and walks away with his hands up. See the video:
In around 20 seconds, the duo takes the motorcycle and the accomplice leaves with the stolen vehicle, while the teenager remains with the motorcycle he was already riding. He stops for a few seconds and tries to escape, but loses control of the bike and falls unconscious on the asphalt. Soon after, a vehicle approaches and the driver tries to help the teenager.
The Military Police and Fire Department were called, but the criminal died at the scene. With the suspect, the military found a toy gun used in the robbery. The motorcycle used in the robbery was returned to the criminal’s grandfather, who found out about the crime along with confirmation of his grandson’s death. The cause of death and the crime are still being investigated, and the accomplice is still being sought by the police.
