Pope Francis asks parents to support gay children
The Vatican has decided that the Catholic Church must allow transgender people to be baptized and also to sponsor people and weddings.
The sector of the Church that makes decisions on doctrine received a series of questions on these topics from a bishop from Brazil, José Negri, from the diocese of Santo Amaro.
The bishop of Santo Amaro sent six questions to the Church’s doctrinal office in July. The questions were related to LGBTQIA+ people and their participation in the sacraments of baptism and marriage.
