A teacher accused of creating fake profiles to entice teenagers and convince them to send intimate photos and videos was arrested in Laguna, in the south of Santa Catarina. The professional worked in the municipal education network.
The preventive arrest took place on Tuesday (7) and was carried out by the Police Department for the Protection of Children, Adolescents, Women and the Elderly (DPCAMI). O municipality follows the case.
The investigation began in August, according to police. Among the steps taken, the teacher was the subject of a search and seizure warrant for electronic devices. After analyzing the contents found in the objects, the Civil Police requested the man’s preventive arrest.
Investigations continue. According to investigators, the investigation should be sent to the Judiciary.
According to the municipality, there will be a meeting between the Civil Police and the education department to find out details of the case.
“The City of Laguna, through the Department of Education, reinforces its commitment to the safety and well-being of students and will take all necessary measures to remove the teacher, in accordance with the results of the investigation”, informed the administration.
