Scientific Police breaks records for expert reports and surpasses 2022 results – ACN

By the month of October 2023, at least 10 technical sectors of the Scientific Police of Santa Catarina (PCISC) have already produced more expert reports than in the entire year 2022. More than that, the information extracted from the CriminalData platform – developed by the Technology Directorate and PCISC Innovation – reveal that some numbers represent unprecedented achievements for the expert institution, which has already accumulated records even with two months to go until the end of the year.

General expert Andressa Boer Fronza recognizes that the competent performance and commitment of directors, division heads, criminal experts, papilloscopists and forensic agents were decisive for the achievements. And it also adds important management actions that have provided modernization, standardization and improved working conditions for top teams.

According to the manager, in addition to expanding its service capacity, PCI has made considerable progress in relation to the quality of services provided to security agencies and the Judiciary. Andressa Fronza states that the institution is producing more and better, delivering results solidly based on the material evidence presented in expert reports and contributing to thousands of investigations and legal proceedings.

“We congratulate all the servers involved for the incredible performance which, in the month of October, already exceeded the production volumes achieved throughout the previous year. Through science, we are contributing to an increasingly fair and safe society”, concludes the head of PCI.
