Conmebol (South American Football Confederation) released the selection for the 2023 edition of the Copa Libertadores da América. In the team released this Wednesday afternoon (8), champion Fluminense is represented by defender Nino, midfielder André, midfielders Paulo Henrique Ganso and Jhon Arias and striker Gérman Cano, the competition’s top scorer with 13 goals.
According to Conmebol, the team was chosen by the entity’s Tactical Study Group, which is made up of South American technicians.
Boca Juniors (Argentina), who played in the final of the competition with Fluminense, has only two representatives in the lineup, goalkeeper Romero and Peruvian full-back Advíncula, the Argentine team’s top scorer in the competition with four goals.
Also appearing in the team is a representative from Palmeiras, Uruguayan full-back Piquerez, two from Internacional, midfielder Alan Patrick and Ecuadorian striker Enner Valencia, and one from Atlético-MG, striker Paulinho.
