“The event attracted thousands of visitors from various parts of Brazil, strengthening local tourism and placing Aracaju on the map of the country’s main cultural and musical attractions. Hotels, restaurants, bars and stores had a significant increase in their revenue, creating employment opportunities temporary and generating income for many Aracajuans. The hotel and services sector, in particular, had a notable performance, and this positive impact did not go unnoticed”celebrated Fabiano Oliveiracouncilor for the PP and organizer of Pré-Caju.
For City Hall, the party can be translated into promoting the economy through 100% occupancy of the hotel chain, sales of food, drinks, handicrafts and carnival items. This means generating employment, income and circulation of goods and services.
“Pre-caju is a democratic festival that does not distinguish rich from poor, where everyone plays together, with love, with tranquility. In addition to providing thousands of tourists and people from Sergipe with this fun, the event is responsible for an essential economic impact for the city, generating jobs and income. We had more than a thousand street vendors here selling on the party circuit, the hotels were full, there was more movement for taxi drivers, for transport via app, in bars, restaurants, in commerce, in other words, the economy grew very effectively in these three days. And last but not least, this is the result of the partnership between public authorities and the private sector, the sure recipe for success”, says the mayor of Aracaju, Edvaldo Nogueira.
