
The Rio Military Police seized this Wednesday afternoon (8) in Guaratiba, in the West Zone, weapons and ammunition from a man who admitted to being a supplier to militiamen and drug traffickers.
The agents found the material at home in Guaratiba while investigating a complaint about an alleged militia ammunition factory.
After being allowed entry into the property, according to the agents, in a room of the house, the police found four rifles, a 12-gauge shotgun, a pellet gun, 8 pistols and a revolver.
In addition to the weapons, a large quantity of ammunition, gunpowder boxes, gas cylinders, ammunition reloading machinery and various weapons accessories were found inside the enclosure.
When asked about the material found, the man who was in the house, who has a history of drug trafficking and robbery, said he was a collector (CAC) and admitted selling ammunition to militiamen and drug traffickers. The suspect was detained and taken to the 43rd DP.
