Six tons of different types of products suspected of being counterfeit were seized in the early hours of Wednesday (8) on Via Dutra, in Itatiaia (RJ).
The merchandise was distributed on six buses that came from the state of São Paulo and went to different cities in Rio de Janeiro.
The vehicles were approached this morning by teams from the Operação Foco Divisas Program and auditors from the state finance department, at the Nhangapi Inspection Control Post.
Among the seized products were clothes, sneakers, electronics, chargers and cell phone covers. The suspicion is that the merchandise would supply illegal commerce in the capital and Baixada Fluminense.
According to the agents, “in addition to showing signs of forgery, some of the seized merchandise did not have an invoice.”
After providing clarification, the owners and buses were released. The products were seized at the Nhangapi Inspection Control Post.
