A man, identified as Denilson Pereira de Oliveira, aged 55, died trapped in the wreckage after an accident on the ES-482, in the district of Coutinho, in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, on Tuesday night (7). His son, João Antônio Oliveira Neto, 30, who was driving the car, was taken to Santa Casa de Misericórdia in a serious condition in the southern city of the state.
According to the Military Police (PM), the vehicle hit the trunk of a tree that was lying on the side of the road. The driver was removed from the wreckage by the Military Fire Department and rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu).
After extrication, the man’s body was left in the care of the Civil Police and sent to the city’s Legal Medical Service (SML), to be autopsied and, later, released to his family.
