A problem with a third party which provides services for the State Department of Traffic (Detran-PI) delayed the payment of salaries, food tickets and transport vouchers for around 60 employees for two months. The amounts had been transferred by the state, however, the company had its accounts blocked due to lack of certificates.

The judge Manoel Edilson Cardoso, from the Regional Labor Court of the 22nd Region, authorized Detran to directly take over the payment of salaries in light of the impasse with the company. “We cannot crucify the workers due to the lack of organization of the company that hired them. We had dialogues with the company at various times, we made the payments that were pending, as the company did not have all the documentation in order. However, all the resources that It fell into the company’s account and was blocked and the workers continued without being paid”, he explained.

The manager stated that she needed to maintain contact with the State Department of Finance (Sefaz-PI) to speed up the release of the requested resource to meet the needs of outsourced employees. For her, the delay could harm service in the capital and at stations distributed across the interior of the state.
