A problem with a third party which provides services for the State Department of Traffic (Detran-PI) delayed the payment of salaries, food tickets and transport vouchers for around 60 employees for two months. The amounts had been transferred by the state, however, the company had its accounts blocked due to lack of certificates.
The judge Manoel Edilson Cardoso, from the Regional Labor Court of the 22nd Region, authorized Detran to directly take over the payment of salaries in light of the impasse with the company. The manager stated that she needed to maintain contact with the State Department of Finance (Sefaz-PI) to speed up the release of the requested resource to meet the needs of outsourced employees. For her, the delay could harm service in the capital and at stations distributed across the interior of the state.
