The information was confirmed this Wednesday (8) by the Metalworkers Union of Horizontina and Region, which is closely monitoring the situation. In August, the company had already cut 170 employees.

According to the president of the Metalworkers Union of Horizontina and Region, Jorge Luís Ramos, the company informed that the measure was taken to be able to adapt to the production volume.

Initially, the multinational intended to carry out 350 layoffs, however, in union negotiations, the number remained at 297, 60 of which were temporary positions. The union also negotiated so that couples would not be fired.
