‘MESA AO VIVE BAHIA’ EVENT PROMISES FOOD PARTY AT THE RIO VERMELHO MARKET

The ‘Mesa ao Vivo Bahia’ event, launched this Tuesday (07/11), will take place, for the first time, on the 15th and 16th of November, at Mercado do Rio Vermelho, in Salvador. This gastronomic celebration promises to offer a unique gastronomic experience.

The 8th Bahian edition of this event is held by Mundo Mesa and receives support from the State Government, through the Regional Development and Action Company (CAR), a public company linked to the Secretariat of Rural Development (SDR), Secretariat of Economic Development (SDE ) from the Secretariat of Tourism (Setur).

Renowned chefs are already preparing dishes that will delight visitors. Entry is free, but participation requires registration on the official Prazeres da Mesa website.

Jeandro Ribeiro, CEO of CAR, emphasizes the importance of family farming at the event. He states that Mesa Bahia absorbs products from family farming for Bahian and Brazilian haute cuisine, valuing the segment. “The party will be held at the Rio Vermelho Market, known as Ceasinha, which has become an icon of family farming in Bahia, and is where the Empório da Agricultura Familiar is located, with a restaurant that offers delicious dishes and the sale of products. from all over Bahia.”

Chefs Solange Borges, from Culinária de Terreiro, and Fabrício Lemos, from Grupo Origem, expressed enthusiasm in being part of this event and highlighted the importance of valuing family farming and its quality products.

Grupo Origem’s pastry chef, Lisiane Arouca, also highlighted her satisfaction in participating in ‘Mesa ao Vivo Bahia’. “It’s incredible to see the focus on family farming and products from small producers that we already use in restaurants. It’s part of our life, routine and concept.”

‘Mesa ao Vivo Bahia’ is a celebration of Bahian cuisine and an opportunity for chefs to showcase the best that Bahia has to offer, bringing together the gastronomy and tradition of Bahian cuisine.
