A driver was taken to a hospital during a collision involving a passenger car and an alternative transport vehicle. Another driver received treatment and was released at the scene of the accident. The collision occurred on the morning of this Wednesday (08) in Povoado Jacaré, on AL-115, rural area of Palmeira dos Índios, in the countryside of Alagoas.
The drivers involved in the collision are male. One of the victims is 21 years old and was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and taken to the Agreste Emergency Hospital (HEA). Her health status was not reported. The other victim was treated at the scene and released.
A black Celtic vehicle and a van that was transporting passengers between the cities of Arapiraca and Palmeira dos Índios were involved in the collision. According to the Highway Police Battalion (BPRv), the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when one of them entered the other direction and caused the collision.
Military personnel stationed at BPRv controlled the flow of vehicles at the location, as the Celta was in the middle of the highway.
