Two men were arrested this Tuesday (7) in Operation Empire, launched by the Civil Police, to dismantle drug trafficking in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Alegre and Vargem Alta, in the south of Espírito Santo, through delivery. According to the police, these men who were arrested received orders via app messages and delivered the drugs.
It took six months of investigation. During the operation, three search and seizure warrants were executed in Cachoeiro.
One of the targets, a 33-year-old man, was arrested in the Ferroviários neighborhood, where 7.7 kg of marijuana, 1.4 kg of cocaine, a box of medicines, three precision scales, three cell phones, 35 9mm caliber ammunition, R$4,500 in cash, a notebook, a wildlife bird and a vehicle.
In another house in the Campo Leopoldina neighborhood, a vehicle, a Glock brand track, three chargers and ten 9mm caliber ammunition were seized. At the residence, a 32-year-old suspect was arrested for possession of drugs for personal consumption. In the third property, located in the Amarelo neighborhood, nothing illegal was found.
“The operation will be important for the society of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, as it will facilitate the removal of individuals who are harmful to social life, who use messaging applications to promote the delivery of drugs in Cachoeiro and neighboring municipalities, indiscriminately targeting young people of these municipalities. In addition to promoting the delivery of drugs to end users, they also supplied other drug dealers in the region”, stated the head of the Cachoeiro de Itapemirim Specialized Narcotics Police Station, delegate Felipe Vivas.
