The superintendent of IBGE in Tocantins, Paulo Ricardo Amaral and the Social Communication Coordinator, Bruno De Vizia, will participate this Wednesday, at 6 pm, in the alignment meeting for the holding of the Federative Caravan in Tocantins. The meeting will be in the Auditorium of Palácio Araguaia Governador José Wilson Siqueira Campos with the Secretariat of Institutional Relations (SRI) and other institutions participating in the event.

According to the superintendent, this meeting is important to “strengthen the institutional relationship between the participating bodies, collaboration and synergy”. The SES-TO team that will be responsible for service at the IBGE stand also met this morning with the CCS coordinator to align the actions.

The fourth edition of the federal government’s Federative Caravan will be held in the capital of Tocantins, Palmas, on November 9th and 10th, at Colégio Senador Antônio Luiz Maya. The event will feature lectures, provision of services and technical assistance from various institutions. The objective is to promote greater institutional engagement between federal, state and municipal governments, to establish cooperation in actions and a permanent channel of communication between federated entities.

During the Federative Caravan, IBGE technicians will have the opportunity to give visibility to the Institute’s research and actions, in addition to offering assistance to the state’s 139 city halls. Mayors, advisors, secretaries and other participants will be able to ask questions about the Institute’s products, learn about the databases and information channels, as well as check the results of the 2022 Demographic Census and other research. Visitors will receive bags with pads, pens, calendar maps and institutional folders/information.

Caravans

With the theme: “Union and reconstruction through a new federative relationship”, in August, Salvador (BA) was the first capital to receive the initiative. In September, it was Rio de Janeiro (RJ)’s turn and, in October, Porto Alegre (RS) had the opportunity to host the event. In Palmas, however, it will be IBGE’s third participation in the Federative Caravan. In 2023, the forecast is that Caravans will still be held in Maranhão and Ceará and IBGE will be present in all of them.
