The Mobile Women’s Health Unit at the Santa Casa State Hospital served around 30 inmates from the Ana Maria do Couto Women’s Penitentiary, in Cuiabá, with consultations and preventive gynecological exams, this Tuesday (08.11).
The director of the State Hospital, Patrícia Neves, explained that women deprived of liberty are constantly treated in the penitentiary unit and, on this date, they went to the mobile unit for preventive exams.
“They were attended to, in accordance with regulations, and received medical advice in accordance with the particularities of each one. We are happy because the truck service has achieved its objective, which is to provide medical care to women in the State, regardless of their situation,” she said.
On November 22nd, there will be another round of exclusive service for re-educated students. This time, another group of women will go to the unit.
