Fight over jealousy ends with woman dead and man shot in bathhouse in Amazonas

Manaus/AM – Kassiane de Oliveira Marques, 19, was killed with a shotgun shot accidentally fired by her own husband, Cleiton Silva de Souza, 37, this Saturday (4), in a spa in Ramal do Chicá, in the municipality of Presidente Figueiredo .

The young woman was trying to break up a fight between Cleiton and another man identified as Marcelo Dutra. According to witnesses, the confusion began when Marcelo and his wife started an argument because of jealousy in front of everyone at the scene.

At the time, Marcelo armed himself with a knife and attacked the woman. The victim ran screaming for help and Cleiton tried to defend her, but was threatened by her husband who was chasing her.

At that moment, Cleiton armed himself with a shotgun, but Marcelo advanced against him. Afraid that her husband would be injured, Kassiane tried to separate the two, but Cleiton ended up firing shots that hit both his wife and Marcelo.

Kassiane was injured in the abdomen and died on the way to the hospital. Marcelo was seriously injured and had to be transferred to a hospital in Manaus.

After the tragedy, Cleiton fled and has not yet been found. Kassiane’s wake should take place today in Presidente Figueiredo. The young woman leaves two young children.
