Curitiba, the well-known cold capital of Paraná, is about to exchange its traditional layers of outerwear for lighter and cooler clothing. According to the most recent weather information, the city is preparing for a climate change after the start of the week still under the influence of a cold front, which promises to keep the weather mild for a few more days.
With dawn on Tuesday bringing temperatures below 10°C, residents and visitors should keep their coats handy. However, this scenario’s days are numbered: from Wednesday, a new chapter begins with the arrival of a warmer air mass.
The Paraná Meteorological System (Simepar) highlights that from Thursday (9), people from Curitiba will experience a considerable increase in temperature, with thermometers reaching 31°C. This heat, which for some is a reason for joy and for others a reason to seek shade and fresh water, will not be temporary. The next weekend promises to keep the pace high, with maximum temperatures remaining in the 30s, specifically 31°C on Saturday and a slight drop to 29°C on Sunday.
However, for those who are not fans of high temperatures, some news may bring some comfort: the forecast indicates that Sunday (12) will see the return of rain for the region. This phenomenon can not only offer thermal relief, but also alleviate any concerns about possible impacts of intense heat on the local ecosystem and the well-being of inhabitants.
Therefore, the recommendation is to enjoy the sun with protection and prepare your umbrellas for the return of precipitation. Curitiba, with its four seasons, sometimes in a single day, demonstrates once again its ability to surprise its residents with a quick transition from cold to summer weather.
