A man was arrested on Saturday (4), accused of using his deceased brother’s driver’s license during an inspection of Operation Prohibition, in the neighborhood of Glória, Zona Sul. More than R$50,000 in cash were also seized from him.
The action took place near Praça Juarez Távora, on Avenida Beira Mar. When approached, the driver presented the document to the police, who found the irregularity. The man was taken to the 9th DP (Catete) and, after providing his real CPF, it was found that there was an arrest warrant for drug trafficking in his name, issued in January 2022.

During the approach, an amount of R$54,675 was also located inside the vehicle. The material was sent to the Catete police station, where the incident was registered. The man remains detained in the 12th DP (Copacabana) and is at the disposal of the Court.
