Two men identified as Jean Martins dos Anjos, aged 18, and Paulo Eduardo de Oliveira, aged 33, died after being shot in the early hours of this Sunday (5), in Sorriso, 420 km from Cuiabá.

According to the Civil Police, two hooded suspects broke into the house where the victims were, while two others remained outside, in a car, to help escape.

According to witnesses, the men placed the victims lying on the ground and then shot Paulo Eduardo, who died at the scene.

The other victim, Jean Martins, tried to escape from the residence by jumping over the wall towards another house, however, he was shot by the suspects. He was rescued by neighbors and taken to the city’s Regional Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries and died in the health unit.

The Civil Police and Official Forensic and Technical Identification (Politec) were at the scene and will investigate the case. The suspects are at large and there is still no information about the possible motivation for the crime.
