Even entitled to a birthday cake, residents of the Santa Marta district, in Ibitirama, held a motorcade, followed by a party, to demand improvements on the Geraldo Gomes de Carvalho Highway from the public authorities, this Saturday morning (4). According to residents, the stretch that connects the region to the city center has been in poor condition for vehicle traffic for five years.
Unhappy with the situation, around 200 residents of the region mobilized to hold the event, and traveled along the highway to the point where there was a landslide. According to residents, the city hall and local authorities have already been contacted, but no solution has been presented so far.
According to the population, the condition of the road causes financial losses. Every day, they travel from the district to the city center to work and study, and allege constant damage to vehicles traveling in the area.
The report contacted Ibitirama city hall, but until the publication of this content, there was no response.
