This Wednesday (November 1), a man killed his own 5-year-old son in Claro dos Poções, in the North of Minas Gerais. The crime began at the door of the little boy’s school. After the murder, the criminal killed himself. He was taken to a hospital in Montes Claros, in the same region, but he did not survive and died.
Another boy, who was taking the child to school, was also shot. According to information from the Military Police (PMMG), the boy’s father waited for his son and the other victim (who is his ex-partner’s boyfriend) to arrive at the scene to begin the attack. In addition to shooting his own son, he shot his ex-wife’s boyfriend. The man tried to run, but was hit.
According to information from the Military Police, the man lives in the city of Serro, in the Alto Jequitinhonha region, and was fighting in court for custody of his son. The Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) arrived at the scene. The child suffered four cardiorespiratory arrests and, on the fifth, he could not resist and died.
The Civil Police reported, in a note, that they went to the scene of the crime. An examination will be carried out, and the body must be sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) or to a funeral home in the region.
