USF of Arno 71 will be closed for renovation; residents should look for nearby units

The Family Health Unit (USF) on Arno 71, in the northern region, will be closed for renovation and residents will have to look for another service center in the region. The precarious situation of the site was pointed out by inspections by the State Public Ministry, when corroded doors, crumbling beams and cracks in the walls were found.

The notice was informed by the Municipal Department of Health of Palmas (Semus) this Wednesday (24). According to the municipality, the renovation will begin “soon” and some services are already being relocated to USF Arno 61 (503 Norte).

O g1 questioned which services have already been relocated and when the work will actually start, but there was no response until the publication of this report.

During the inspection carried out by the MPE in February of this year, it was verified that the vaccination service at the USF on Arno 71 had already been transferred because the vaccination room was full of leaks and was disabled. The building also had infiltrations and structural problems.

At the time, the MPE reported that it had carried out two inspections at the site in 2022 and the municipality would have guaranteed the renovation for May of the same year, but the deadline was not met. Last week, the prosecution warned again of the risk of structural bait, electric shock and fire.

Semus stated that when the renovation begins, residents of the blocks of ACSU NO 70 (601 North), ACSU NE 70 (602 North), Arno 71 (603 North) and Arne 71 (604 North) should contact the USF directly Arno 61 (503 North).
