Inmet issues rain warning for 93 municipalities in Alagoas

The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued, this Thursday (25), a new rainfall alert, this time for 93 municipalities in Alagoas. The warning points out that municipalities will be under yellow alert, when there is potential danger in cities.

The alert will be in effect until the morning of Friday (26). During this period, there is a possibility of rain between 20 and 30 mm/h or up to 50 mm/day. However, the risk of flooding and landslides in hillside areas is low.

The Institute also advises that the population of the affected municipalities follow some instructions, they are:

• Avoid facing bad weather.
• Note changes in the slopes.
• Avoid using electronic devices connected to the socket.
• Get more information from the Civil Defense (phone 199) and the Fire Department (phone 193).
