Minas Gerais was the state that deforested the most Atlantic forest between October 2021 and 2022. were more than 7.4 thousand hectares destroyed. The data are from the Atlas of Forest Remnants of the Atlantic Forest and were released this Wednesday (24). It is a collaboration between the SOS Mata Atlântica Foundation and the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) that has been monitoring the native vegetation of the biome since 1989.
