Positive National Register of Drivers, created by the National Traffic Department (Senatran), guarantees advantages to those who do not receive fines

Fábio Vieira/Estadão ContentDrivers who have not committed any infractions in a year can receive a number of benefits.

The Positive National Register of Drivers, created by National Traffic Department (Senatran), follows the logic of the Positive Consumer Registry, but instead of rewarding good payers, it benefits good drivers. Those who have not committed infractions within a year can register on the traffic digital wallet application or on the Senatran website. Companies and public bodies can also register in exchange for a seal to be used in promotional actions and disclosures. The contemplated drivers receive advantages, such as rebates, tax exemptions and discounts on car rental values, insurance contracting and tolls on highways. Companies that want to be part of the registry must communicate their interest to Senatran, an agency linked to the Ministry of Infrastructure, and inform the type of benefit they can provide. The creation of the program is foreseen in the new traffic law, and was regulated by the National Traffic Council (Conatran).
