State school teachers end stoppage after approval of the bill that regulates payment of precatories | Bahia

According to the acting coordinator of APLB, Marilene Betros, the strike was adhered to by 70% of the category, distributed in the capital of Bahia and cities in the interior.

“We have suspended the stoppage and will continue to monitor the process. Today the law has already been published, we are waiting for the publication of the regulatory decree and the government also, after this decree, has to publish the list of those who are entitled, so that we can can follow”, declared Marilene Betros, acting coordinator of the APLB.

The text, authored by the Executive Branch, provides for the allocation of 80% of the resources to more than 84 thousand teachers in the state and was approved by a majority of Parliament. In the Orlando Spínola plenary gallery, dozens of teachers demanded the transfer accompanied by interest and arrears.

During the debate, deputies such as Hilton Coelho (Psol), Fabíola Mansur (PSB), Olívia Santana (PCdoB), Tiago Correia (PSDB), Pedro Tavares (UB), Soldado Prisco (UB), Bira Corôa Lula (PT) and Sandro Régis (UB) defended the right that teachers have to interest.

However, the amendments that would allow this transfer of resources were not accepted by the project’s rapporteur, the leader of the ruling bench, deputy Rosemberg Lula Pinto (PT).

For the rapporteur of the matter, the proposition of the Bahian government is supported by federal legislation and the rules stipulated by the Federal Supreme Court (STF). In addition to the PL coming from the Executive, the parliamentarians also approved, during the session, two draft resolutions for the granting of honors by Alba.

On September 15, teachers from the state school system protested in front of Shopping da Bahia, on Avenida Tancredo Neves, in Salvador. The category asked that the Bill, referring to the regulation of the payment of precatories of Fundef, be voted on in the Legislative Assembly.
