Two tourists from Slovakia were attacked by two minors during a robbery at Copacabana Beach, in the South Zone of Rio, this Wednesday morning (21).
The women were badly injured, one of them even had a fracture on her face, and they were rescued at the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) in Copacabana and sent to the Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital, in Leblon.
“It was a horrible crime, a robbery. The two tourists are in a group, on an excursion, where they met. They went to the beach very early to see the sunrise. That was when they were approached by the two minors who asked for money. They did not give and they punched the victims,” said delegate Patrícia Alemany, from the Special Office for Tourism Support (Deat).
The victims were heard at DEAT and left the police station without speaking to the press.
