The Health Carnival heat has already started in Palmas. To provide quality information to revelers regarding preventive measures to avoid the spread of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and about which services are offered by the municipal health network of Palmas, the Municipal Health Department (Semus) will hold this Saturday, 4, a specific action in ‘Bloco da Fê’, in Espaço Vagalume, ASR NE 25 (212 Norte). Held in collaboration with Casa A+, the activity will also include the distribution of free condoms.

In addition to participating in ‘Bloco da Fê’, Semus will maintain its programming on the 10th, 11th and 12th of February, during the carnival festivities. The expansion of these health prevention activities reinforces Semus’ commitment to promoting public health among users.

Ginâ Brasileira, coordinator of the Dr. Ewaldo Borges Specialty Center, highlights the scope of the initiative, which impacts different segments of the population by directly approaching them. This provides greater accessibility to knowledge about preventive measures. “Whenever possible, we seek to target our actions to specific dates. These activities aim to promote a more comprehensive understanding of Semus’ work in preventing STIs.”
