The new cycle of 2024 has already begun. This is another opportunity for you to dedicate yourself to having a life and a healthier aging.
It’s a chance to put plans into action and set new goals. It is also important to practice self-knowledge by asking yourself questions, such as: “Am I currently happy?” or “What is holding me back and what can I do to change it?”
When ending one cycle and starting another, we can do an exercise with our mind, remembering everything that happened over the past year. This makes it easier to understand what you managed to accomplish and what remains for the new year.
Remember: small achievements count! Also write down everything you still want and when you think these goals will be achieved.

In addition to these exercises, I recommend practicing mindfulness to have a lighter and more centered year. It is a meditation technique that helps you gain awareness about yourself and the present moment, bringing a feeling of balance and well-being.
It also reduces stress and anxiety, improves focus, reduces insomnia and increases memory capacity. Some tips for practicing mindfulness are:
- Find a quiet place – preferably where you can be alone
- Sit in a chair and keep your body in proper posture
- Close your eyes and pay attention to your breathing
At that moment, you become aware of your body and your breathing, a function that we perform all the time without paying attention. If you don’t like closing your eyes in these moments, there is another way to practice mindfulness. Look:
- Find a quiet place, preferably one where you are alone.
- Stay in a comfortable position, whether standing, sitting or lying down
- Focus on an object, whatever you find most interesting
- Pay full attention to the object, analyzing every detail, such as colors, shapes and textures.
This way, it is possible to bring a good conscience to the present.

With these thoughts and exercises, it becomes easier to imagine what you want this new cycle to be like, which can be an opportunity for new hobbies, getting to know new places and people, taking care of your physical and mental health, among other things.
In fact, when we talk about mental health, an important point is managing emotions, as well as dealing with challenging or frustrating situations. To do this, we need to have good organization and fullness in our minds.
So, try to reflect on yourself and see how this path can help you reach old age well, with less stress and worries!
