Chief of Staff, Gustavo Rocha, talks about the installation of a field hospital in DF
The Air Force authorized the installation of a field hospital in the Federal District to treat dengue cases. The announcement was made by the Department of Health during a press conference this Thursday (1st).
There is still no definition of a date or location for the health unit to be installed.
“The GDF alone cannot face this issue of dengue,” said the head of the Civil House, Gustavo Rocha.
The ministry also reported that 40% of dengue cases in the capital are concentrated in Ceilândia, Sol Nascente and Pôr do Sol. Because of this, the field hospital must be installed close to the regions.
In total, six deaths were recorded in the same period. In addition, the department is investigating the deaths of another 24 people suspected of having dengue.
The increase in the number of cases, compared to the same period of the previous year, is 920.5%. The GDF’s concern is with the overload of the health system.
