The tweet went so viral that the Brazilian DJ responded to the publication with a question: “Oxe, were you on the zipline?”.

“Last photo before Alok’s laser burns my iPhone camera. What a hate,” said the user on Twitter, with an image of the presentation. As of the publication of this report, the tweet had more than 90,000 likes.

The Brazilian’s show was marked, including, by many cell phones pointed up, on the side of the audience, and pyrotechnics and a great light show by the DJ.

Manufacturers warn of risks

On its official website, Sony warns that camera sensors can be damaged by laser beams.

“Do not expose the lens to beams such as lasers. This can damage the image sensor and cause the camera to malfunction.”

Samsung doesn’t specifically talk about lasers, but warns of risks to the same mechanism if exposed to “excessive heat or high-density energy” or “a strong light source.”
