Considered the queen of pop, singer and songwriter Madonna, aged 65, had a troubled time in Brazil. Before leaving the country, she wrote a message in the Golden Book of the Belmond Copacabana Palace, the hotel where she stayed during her stay on Brazilian soil.
“I love you, Rio! Thank you for taking such good care of me and my children. The view of the sea is magnificent! With love, Madonna”, wrote the singer in the book. The artist’s message was shared by the hotel’s official profile last Monday (6).
“Here is the home of great personalities and moments that marked an era. At the World Cup, we celebrate the brightest stars, immortalizing their passages in our hall of fame and recording their stories in our Golden Book”, says the caption of the publication, which was made on Instagram.
As a way to celebrate 40 years of career in the international music industry, Madonna came to Brazil to end “The Celebration Tour”. More than 1.6 million people watched the artist’s performance, which was free. The Government of Rio de Janeiro declared that Madonna’s arrival generated R$300 million in the economy.
