Claumirzinho, from Molejo, pays tribute to Anderson Leonardo at a wake in Rio | Rio de Janeiro

Rio – Molejo member Claumirzinho paid tribute to Anderson Leonardo, during the singer’s wake, which takes place this Sunday (28). The musician arrived at the Jardim da Saudade Cemetery, in Sulacap, in the West Zone, wearing a shirt with the photo of his group partner, who died on Friday (26), aged 51, victim of groin cancer.

Accompanied by his wife, Claumirzinho participated in the ceremony that began at around 10:30 am and, initially, was reserved for his closest friends and family. In a line, some fans, including elderly people, waited to say goodbye to the singer. At the wake, the musician declared that he continues to consider his friend an idol and that his legacy will last for many years.

“The atmosphere of joy was created within Molejo by Anderson, it was the way he handled things. Even to draw attention to something, a mistake, he was extremely playful and supportive. For me, Anderson continues to be an idol, brother and friend. Thank you Anderson for the time you were here. Your legacy will certainly be carried on for a long time”, he stated.

On Friday, the members of Molejo recorded a video to thank their fans for their support, after the loss of their singer. “Passing by to thank everyone for their affection at this difficult time for all of us, but, in any case, we cannot forget Anderson Leonardo’s affection and joy, because this has to last. The legacy continues and we are here to continue the legacy of our singer. We love you, our fans and friends,” they said.

Fight against disease

The Molejo singer was diagnosed with the disease in the inguinal area in October 2022. Months after announcing that he was cured, the singer had to resume treatment in 2023. On February 27, 2024, he was admitted to a hospital in Rio again , where he underwent immunotherapy and received pain medication. He was discharged on March 19th.

However, four days later, he returned to the health unit in serious condition. On the 8th of this month, he was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit due to kidney failure. Three days later, Anderson went to his room, but after getting worse, he returned to the ICU on the 22nd. In the last few hours, his condition worsened and he died.

In the initial phase of treatment, he still maintained part of his schedule of shows and appearances on TV programs. Anderson leaves his wife, administrator Paula Cardoso, and four children: Leozinho Bradock, Alissa, Rafael Phelipe and Alice.
