The Globoplay platform defined the title of the documentary about the trajectory of Davi Brito, winner of BBB 24. The production will be called “Davi – Um Cara Comum da Bahia”. The phrase references a mockery, originally said by Rodriguinho on the reality show to minimize the chances of Davi returning from a wall.
In January, at the beginning of the competition, the former member of the Travessos group did not believe in the app driver’s potential. “Depending on who he goes with, he’ll leave, yes. I don’t think he’s stronger than anyone here. Davi has nothing. He’s just an ordinary guy from Bahia”, said Rodriguinho at the time.
Documentary investigates David’s life
Globoplay used another Big Brother Brasil meme to announce the production’s premiere date. “Hello, my pepperonis! Coming, on 8/5, my newest doc ‘Um Cara Comum da Bahia’, about the winner of BBB 24, Davi!”, published the platform on social media.
“You will learn more about his story, from his childhood in Cajazeiras, to his participation and strategy to win the reality show”, added the documentary’s description. The champion, in turn, was excited about the opportunity to share his journey with the public.
“Someone is investigating my life! (laughs). She [a diretora Duda Martins] is following my every step, what I do, what I don’t do… This is very important to me, because it will be published on a platform”, said Davi in an interview with the Play column of the newspaper O Globo.

The production will explore Davi’s childhood in Cajazeiras, a neighborhood in Salvador, as well as showing his strategies within confinement and how he dealt with conflicts. The victory at “BBB” and the impact it had on the new millionaire’s life will also be discussed.
To reconstruct Davi’s past, the Globoplay team hired actors from Salvador. Furthermore, he had to deal with an unexpected development: the end of his relationship with his girlfriend/wife Mani Reggo after speculation about the couple’s separation.
The documentary will also feature testimonies from several famous people, such as author Gloria Perez, actor Bruno Gagliasso and actress Carolina Dieckmann, who have supported Davi since the beginning of “BBB 24”. They will comment on the champion’s trajectory and give their opinion on his future.
Singer Xanddy, dancer Carla Perez, actor Luis Miranda and other Bahians will also participate in the project, explaining why they see Davi as an example of the strength of the people of the State.
Return of productions on BBB
The documentary about Davi Brito marks the return of Globoplay productions about participants in the reality show. The platform had not made any series about the members of “BBB 22” and “BBB 23”. The 21st edition of the program produced documentaries about Juliette Freire, Gil do Vigor and Karol Conká.
“Davi – Um Cara Comum da Bahia” premieres on May 8th.
