Former “Ídolos” participant Danilo Passos, better known as Danilo Queixada, was found dead in Nice, France, on Saturday (30). The artist participated in the program on several occasions, but moved to Europe in 2020 after his music career did not work out. The news was confirmed by the family, who are now trying to raise a virtual crowdfunding effort to bring the body to Brazil.

Danilo’s relatives did not reveal the cause of death. In a statement on social media, his sister, Isabella Passos, lamented the sudden loss. “Today you are no longer here among us, and I feel as if a part of me has left too… A part of my history. I never imagined I would lose a brother like that so soon.”she said.

“There used to be five of us, and I always thought we would share together the pain of one day losing our parents, but never that we would experience, first and foremost, the pain of losing each other. My brother, I will always remember you happy, fun, always making us laugh, like a real clown you were. You can’t imagine how much you will be missed here. I’m sure you’re in a better place now and that one day we’ll meet again… Rest in peace, brother. I will always love you and have you in my heart.”she concluded.

Another of the artist’s sisters, Tatiane Passos, explained to Conexão Entrevista more details about the attempts to bring Danilo back to the country. According to her, an autopsy will be carried out on April 2, so that the cause of death can be discovered. “An uncle of mine is following the case. We are doing everything we can to bring Danilo here to Brazil, so that he can be laid to rest and buried here in the family tomb. I sincerely ask anyone who can help, with any amount. Any help is welcome”he requested.

In the caption of the virtual crowdfunding, Queixada’s family explained that the artist was working as a construction worker to provide a better condition for his son, Pedro. In a recent post, the musician released his son’s new song and asked his followers to help the young man support the arts.

“I came here to say that my legacy continues. I haven’t arrived, but my son will get wherever he wants. He will break barriers. He released a new video and it’s so beautiful… I’ve seen it about fifty times. If you can, those of you who follow me, share the video link and help him. Keep your head high, I know you will get there.”said in a December video.

Queixada appeared on the Brazilian version of “American Idol” three times. In 2011, he arrived in the judges’ room rhyming about his visits to the Record attraction and was approved for the next stage. Remember:
