It’s been almost a week since The Marvels has been showing in cinemas around the world, which means that the most diehard fans have already had their experience of the new adventure of Marvel Cinematic Universe in the dark room. Directed by Nia DaCosta, the film further paves the way for the future of the Avengers and the publisher’s other heroes.
In addition to functioning as a transition film, the film also advances the story of the three protagonists, especially the growth of Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan – the figure responsible for stealing the show in the space plot.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporterpossible after the end of the actors’ strike, the actress gave details about the recording process, as well as updating fans about the future of her beloved character.
“She’s not going to put people on a pedestal so much [no futuro]. Kamala and I are on a very similar journey. I’ve gotten a lot better at not holding celebrities to the highest standard possible. They are still human”, she said about the contrast between the first contact with the idol Captain Marvel and the future of Ms. Marvel in the MCU.
Iman also mentioned the ending of the film, in which Kamala begins the Young Avengers with the recruitment of Kate Bishop, Hailee Steinfeld’s Hawkeye.
