In the report, the 45-year-old celebrity said that her body had already been showing symptoms of the disease since 2022, when she suffered from digestive problems and felt her body swollen. Faced with the condition, she sought medical attention, and due to the difficulty in obtaining a specific diagnosis, she found out after eating a grain salad during a flight.
“I thought it was the farro [um dos ingredientes da salada, um grão semelhante ao trigo]. I thought I was becoming really gluten intolerant and my stomach just wasn’t coping well.”said presenter Maria Menounos, in an interview with the newspaper Today.
According to her, health professionals detected a grade 2 pancreatic cancer measuring almost 4 centimeters in diameter, approximately the size of a walnut. Fortunately, with advance care, Maria Menounos no longer showed signs of the tumor, nor did she undergo treatments in advanced stages.
